The Topic for this Week's Discussion (Open to anyone)

A team of NASA and Stanford scientists has presented circumstantial evidence of possible early Martian life at a press conference that took place on August 7, 1996. Their detailed results will be published in the August 16 issue of science magazine. Which piece(s) of their evidence do you find particularly convincing? Which do you find the least convincing? What kind of analysis should be done to make the evidence more convincing? What kind of evidence would it take for you to be conviced that indeed early Martian life existed?
