TJO Evening Public Talks Reservations
Individual Reservations
Reservations are strongly recommended for the talks as the TJO classroom holds only 40 people. All visitors are welcome to come and tour the observatory and view the night sky if clear; reservations are not needed for this part of the evening. The Seattle Astronomical Society members will be on hand to answer questions.
We are currently taking reservations through email only. Please email Dr. Ana Larson, Observatory Director, at anamunn -at- u.washington.edu (substitute @ for -at-) and let her know which date and time you will be attending and how many people will come.
Season Passes
Because we have a number of families who come every single open house, we are going to try something new this year: Giving out season passes! If you are fairly confident that you will be attending every or nearly every open house, please email Dr. Ana Larson. We will give you a season pass and reserve spots for you in the classroom for the talks for every public viewing night.
Parking
The University of Washington has lots of information on parking on campus for school and other bus transportation. Please
visit the UW Parking Services web site for complete
instructions and contact/permit information. If you are coming by car or car pool and it is earlier than 8 pm, then you
will need to check in with the gate keepers at the north entrance (Gate 2) to the U of W campus for a permit and directions.
