  Cirque of Lower Thorton Lake...enough to make you want to weep. Mt. Triumph seen from Trappers Peak Cirque of Upper Thorton Lake The Southern Pickets seen from Mt. Triumph. Still the most menacing range of mountains I've ever seen. More cascade peaks and glaciers to the south. I start to lose track of what's what after awhile.  

  More of that steep descent down. Apparently I really liked these lakes. Another picture of these stupid lakes...Notice Middle Thorton Lake at the bottom of the picture. Anil, Greg, and Sean starting our steep descent off of Trappers Peak. Long shadows of late afternoon cast across beautiful fall colors.
