I eat bad science for breakfast. Check out this beast (a tasty one it was) which actually showed up in the premier British medical journal, The Lancet. Come on, guys! Be a little more skeptical about these things PLEASE!
Check out a rebuttal to this claim, written by me and Llyd Wells, a grad student in oceanography at the UW. We tried to submit this rebuttal within a week of the publication of the original, and it kept getting bounced back by the mail server at The Lancet.
