A small street parallel to Arab Street. The shops were
closed since it was before 10am. |
 |
An antique shop off of Arab St. The goods here are mainly
imported from India. |

Something that's been dried to a jerky format. I have no
clue what it is. Cropped from this picture are jerky squid,
jerky shrimp, jerky scallops, and many kinds of jerky fish. |

Sultan's Mosque on Arab St. |

As viewed from down an alley of shops. |

the pics from elsewhere. |

You've got to take your shoes off and be dressed
conservatively to get in. The lady in the brown gown was wearing
shorts. |
 |
The inside of the mosque is pretty simple - just an enormous
prayer room. |
 |
This is a chandelier at the mosque. There's little details
like this all over the mosque but it manages to not be gaudy like
some Buddhist or Hindu temples. |
 |
Islam is very big on cleanliness. There are huge washrooms
where you have to wash before you can pray. |
