Friends

Here are links to my friends' web pages.
  • Peter Williams
A good reference for anything you want to know about photography. We met when he was taking summer classes at CU and working as a lab weanie in the Engineering building. Now he is frequently coaxed into toilet papering and gift wrapping people's cars and wearing a cape.

  • Pete in profile.

  • Devlynn Rodriguez
The happiest Goth you'll ever know. We've been friends since... high school? Whenever we're in the same state there is much mischief and marauding... and many late nights at Village Inn.

The two aforementioned people caught in the act.

  • Kymm Garcia
My seester. She doesn't have a web page so I made her one with pictures of my niece and nephew, Imani Elizabeth and Maxximo Alejandro Garcia. I also made her a page for the small business she recently started with her friend making kick ass ladies' handbags.

  • Vibha Sazawal
My super cool friend from Computer Science who knows all about women in science and engineering and where to go for fru-fru drinks.

  • Shane Brinkman-Davis
When I met Shane he was wearing a big glittery hat with, I think, colored feathers. He was also sitting at a Linux terminal helping people get logins for computer lab accounts. He later introduced me to Jesse (my spouse) and we've become gaming buddies since he moved to Seattle.

  • Jerrod Brito
The master jester. Fighting crime and spreading cynacism everywhere. He ocassionally wakes to find his apartment door has been blocked by a Scooby-Doo themed birthday party or CAUTION tape. But it's all out of love.

Friends without web pages that deserve a shout out:

  • Jesse Watson - the most amazing husband in the universe. Would your spouse write PERL code to parse your data at 3am? Clean the house, cook you dinner, and give you back rubs while you studied for your masters exam? Yeah, that's what I thought.
He recently wrote an essay on his new software paradigm. If you're keen on software engineering you ought to read it!

  • Shereen AbuSaeedi - my friend with the sympathetic ear who also shares my love of all things ethnic.

  • Did you call me... chicken?
  • Jaime Bours - my friend who makes me laugh and shares my love of toilet humor. Meow.

Pictures from Jaime and Matt's wedding, September 2004.

  • Erika Wilson Golightly - the fabulous Erika. Back in my life after a five year hiatus during which time we lost track of each other, lost track of ourselves, found ourselves, and then found each other again.

  • Erika

  • Carmen Roberson - we met at the Colorado Division of Wildlife in 1994 and we've been friends ever since.

Carmen on Bourbon St giving me that "What're you doing with that camera, turkey?" look (left) and feeding the gulls on the beach in Alabama (right).

  • Jessica (Cortrite) Marquis - my oldest friend, we met at Clayton Elementary in band playing the clarinet. I made a page of pictures of her insanely cute children, Austin and Jordyn.

    Chris AKA Antix AKA Bob-from-Church.

  • Chris Smith - partner in crime who, for the last several years, has received the same thing from me, Dev, and Pete for Christmas - his own car, gift wrapped.
  • Dan Gastler - Now a grad student at BU, I met Dan at Super-K just after he graduated high school (damn I've been in grad school a long time!). He once set my arm on fire so beware before trusting him with heavy equipment ;-)

  • Dan in the Super-K tank from the 2001 detector upgrade.

  • Richard Younger - my buddy from CU physics undergrad. Ah, I remember the nights we'd stay on campus until midnight doing quantum and E&M homework.

  • Charlie Washburn (my bro) - the artistic one in the family who gets all the hot chicks. He lives with us in Seattle and fulfills all of our fresh produce wishes.

  • Betty-who-knows-about-plants - my consultant in all issues botanical.

  • Dweezil - my little chicken. We've been together since... 1998. He whistles the National Geographic Theme and likes to talk to feet.

Dweezil with his girlfriend, Yodel Bear.

  • Mojo - the newest addition to our family. Jesse is his one true love.
