Title: The Sky's not the Limit: Extremely Low
Surface Brightness Galaxies
Abstract:
I set out some results and ongoing investigations using a sample
of 338 objects of very low surface brightness (a few percent of the
night sky). Originally gathered to quantify the "missing satellite
problem" in the Local Group, the extragalactic part of the sample has
important applications to the process of galaxy formation and
evolution, as well as star formation in diverse environments.
