COURSE INFORMATION

An Introduction to astronomy. We will deal with the basics of astronomy like, distances scales, gravity and light, the celestial sphere, the sun, stellar evolution and death, stellar remnants, galaxies, cosmology and extra-solar planets. These topics will be covered in both a quantitative and qualitative manner.

Please bring your Course pack (or the relevant exercise/activity sheet/tutorial to class everyday).
