I am a graduate student in Astronomy at the University of Washington in
Seattle. I study quasars (super-massive black holes at the center of young
galaxies)!
For my thesis project, I am testing physical models of quasar evolution by comparing real data to simulation data. This also involves neat side projects, like the search for radio stars and the study of quasar spectra as a function of their radio morphology. My advisor is Željko Ivezić. I grew up in Michigan, where I spent lots of time inside because it was either cold and snowy or hot and humid. Now that I live in the Pacific Northwest, I love outdoor stuff like hiking, biking, and climbing. |
