Mt. Maude 2755m - October 9-10 2005

nice scenery on the way up... mountain tops hidden in the fog somewhere endless fields of scree reaching a nice little saddle... I believe the gulley we missed is up to the left, but we couldn't really see it when one drops one's helmet, one must go back down to get it... Red.........

Oh look guys, curiously enough the lake that's supposed to be down there is certainly not... now on some snow-covered scree/boulder field... yeah, can't really find this aha, we've found the Ice Lakes... and we finally know for certain where we are descent down to the Ice Lakes

actually, this spot looks pretty good for a camp... pre-dinner ridge leading up to the summit of Maude pretty sweet camping spot

during the night, the clouds cleared and we were treated to a beautiful sunrise Upper Ice Lake and our camp... mountain panorama from above our camp hey, we should go there...

camp + summit in the morning heading up to the summit looking back at the camp site fairly steep scree at the beginning soon, clouds rolled in... there were periods of whiteouts...

... and of gorgeous views finally on the summit this time with me in the picture and Eric turning away for some reason looking out at seven fingered jack

the summit was windy so we didn't stay for long... speed descent with Glacier Peak looking on A brief glimpse of seven fingered jack
